The weekend was a girly one!
Danica had her hair and makeup appointment, and we picked out jewelery for her to wear on the big day. Can't believe it's only 2 1/2 weeks away.
I got to try on my dress - but alas, it didn't fit. Have to go back down on the 28th for the hens party and dress fitting again. Should be all good for the big day. Still need to find some shoes though! The ones I bought have been declared too "day wear" by the make up artÃst. hehehe.
Doesn't Danica scrub up beautifully!

snippet from God Sex.......
~
I'm furiously reading Rob Bells book; God Sex.
If you happen to stumble across it, I recommend you read it!
We just had the Life FM lifeathon last week - so I had to do a little stint every morning. (It runs over 4 days) On the last day I read this. (check it out online - www.lifefm.co.nz)
Are you?
If you are..... how?
Are you using the talents that God gave you?

God created everything out of chaos - the earth was formless and void, and God brought order out of it.
Each thing that God creates and sets in motion is a step, a progression away from chaos and disorder toward order and harmony.
The first thing God commands His people to do, then, involves the continuation of this ordering and caring for and the ongoing progression away from chaos.
The universe isn't finished!
As human beings we take part through our actions in the ongoing creation of the world. The question is, what kind of world will our energies create?
We will take it somewhere - the question is, where?
Towards chaos and wild waste, or are we making earth as it is in heaven?
Are we committed to growing God's Kingdom here on earth?
Are you?
If you are..... how?
Are you using the talents that God gave you?

yipeeeeeeeeeeeee!!!!
~
All worked out on the cat front. I ended up taking Twiggy over to the farm in the morning.... so she had a weekend on the farm to chase bunnies around, and hang out with all the other cats. I'm sure she quite enjoyed herself. She hates going in her cat cage though to travel.
Meanwhile, the weekend in Wellington was the BEST! :)
I arrived on Friday afternoon and was picked up by my lovely friend Benny who I haven't seen in over a year and a half since he left for England and I moved up here. It was great to hang out with him while everyone else was at work. We got into mischief driving around the city, before finally finding a place to sit by the water and wait for the rest to turn up. We were actually there for hours before Shane turned up and we headed over to the restaurant and met Hilary and Sarah.
It was one of those extremely long dinners with lots of laughing, and great food!
Ben and Sarah left after that, while Hilary, Shane and I headed into town to continue laughing, before heading home.....
The weekend continued on much the same... my old flatmate Jackie arrived early the next morning, and we had a great time wandering the streets of the cultured city. The wedding shoe hunt began, and we even caught a movie while it poured with rain outside.
I'm realising once more just how blessed I am with the friends that I have in my life.... and am amazed at just how God brings these people across our paths..... Some of them are pretty random meetings - but perhaps those are the best ones.
It's a pity that none of them live near by. It does make for wonderful weekends away though. :)
So - photo above was taken just before Jackie and I zoomed off to the airport with our wonderful driver Shane. Hilary had just gotten back from her weekend away.
More smiles. :)
